Leslie Federer focuses her practice on defending product manufacturers, premises owners, contractors, and other businesses, including Fortune 500 companies, in mass tort litigation and general liability matters.

Leslie serves as local counsel and national coordinating counsel for toxic tort defendants and coordinates litigation pending in some of the most dangerous plaintiff jurisdictions in the United States. In her NCC role, she works with local counsel throughout the country on all aspects of litigation, including fact and expert discovery, expert witness preparation, assessing and analyzing risk, developing long-term defense strategies, and settlement negotiations with national plaintiff firms.

For Leslie practicing law is about helping people. She has served as counsel in matters pending before the Illinois Department of Human Rights, defending security companies from fraudulent claims while protecting the rights of the security officers.

Before and during law school, Leslie worked as a paralegal and a law clerk at a national defense firm. While in law school, Leslie participated as a mentor in Capital University’s Peer Advisor Program, helping new evening program law students acclimate to the rigorous first-year schedule while balancing full-time employment.

Before pursuing a career in law, Leslie worked as a sales account executive at a third-party transportation and logistics company, where she managed and supervised national accounts.

You can find Leslie outside the office watching NCAA College Football, cheering for The Ohio State Buckeyes.
