Chan McLeod is a Director in the Jackson, Mississippi office and focuses his practice on litigation, specifically product liability, premises liability, toxic tort, and mass tort. He has extensive experience litigating and managing all aspects of litigation and has defended complex liability cases in federal and state courts across the country. Mr. McLeod serves as national coordinating counsel for three manufacturers involved in mass tort asbestos litigation, and is responsible for developing national litigation strategy, overseeing the administration of local counsel litigation activities, and directing case resolution efforts in jurisdictions nationwide. Mr. McLeod has also defended the interests of naval equipment manufacturers in mass tort litigation including fact development, naval records research, motion practice, and preparation of experts for deposition and trial. He has experience defending claims related to dioxins, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, heavy metals, and wood treatment chemicals, and is well versed in the associated medical and scientific issues, including medical causation, disease process, and epidemiology. Additionally, Mr. McLeod has worked with a number of experts including toxicologists, epidemiologists, oncologists, pulmonary disease specialists, industrial hygienists, and naval engineering experts.

  • Serves as National coordinating counsel for three manufacturers involved in mass tort asbestos litigation, a role that entails management of asbestos product liability and premises liability cases throughout the United States.  Develops national litigation strategy for asbestos cases, oversees administration of local counsel litigation activities, and directs case resolution activities in jurisdictions nationwide.
