Sarah Beth Jones is an Associate in the firm’s Jackson, Mississippi office and focuses her practice primarily on mass tort, environmental, personal injury, and product liability litigation. She is experienced in handling, coordinating, and managing special projects arising in mass tort litigation, and is frequently and repeatedly called upon to coordinate projects for joint defense efforts nationwide. Sarah Beth has managed and coordinated asbestos litigation joint defense special projects, including joint medical expert retention and medical and bankruptcy trust records collection. Sarah Beth possesses extensive knowledge regarding asbestos bankruptcy trusts and related issues and has published articles on the topic of bankruptcy trust transparency. She created a comprehensive Bankruptcy Trust Transparency Reference Guide, which has since been adapted for and adopted by multiple insurers and defendants. She presently serves as Trust Transparency Counsel for a number of insurers and defendants and works with clients and their local counsel daily on bankruptcy trust issues. She has assisted in efforts to compel compliance with legislation and court orders regarding disclosure of bankruptcy trust claims information. Additionally, Sarah Beth was instrumental in creating a bankruptcy trust worksite database, used to generate bankruptcy trust values assessment reports and trust-worksite analyses used by defendants involved in asbestos litigation nationwide. Sarah Beth also represents clients locally in asbestos litigation defense and other personal injury defense in Mississippi and Alabama.
