Sam Habeeb is a Director in our Jackson, Mississippi office and is a member of the Firm’s litigation practice, focusing his practice on products liability, mass toxic tort (including asbestos, benzene, and silica), pharmaceutical and medical devices, environmental, hearing loss, commercial litigation, and professional liability. He serves as national counsel for a diversified global equipment manufacturer, has achieved successful verdicts and appellate rulings as lead counsel representing medical providers and product manufacturers, and has achieved successful decisions in appellate courts as lead oral argument counsel. Mr. Habeeb was awarded Outstanding National Product Liability Counsel Award by a worldwide equipment manufacturer in 2003, 2004, and 2006. He was selected by Mississippi Business Journal as one of Mississippi's top 50 attorneys for Leadership in Law "Class of 2010." In 2002, Mr. Habeeb was appointed Special Judge in the County Court of Warren County, by the Mississippi Supreme Court. He received the Mississippi Bar’s Distinguished Service Award in 1998, and Mr. Habeeb was a co-recipient of the 2011 Angel Award by the Jackson Center for Violence Prevention. Between 1997 and 2001, he served his hometown of Vicksburg as a City Commissioner. He has practiced law since 1993, and is admitted in Mississippi, Illinois, and the District of Columbia. He received an AV® Preeminent Rating by Martindale-Hubbell®. Mr. Habeeb enjoys community service and has served on the Board of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Mississippi. A member of St. Peter Orthodox Christian Church, he enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his family.
